February 21, 2017: 1st Grade Music & Chinese Assembly- Media Release Permission Form Due this Friday!
Dear Parents and Guardians of 1st Grade students,
Hello! I am excited to share that Waverly Belmont Elementary will be inviting clawhammer banjo player Abby Washburn and Chinese zither (guzheng) player Wu Fei back for an interactive cross-cultural music presentation during your child’s Related Arts time on Monday February 27th.
Both Ms. Washburn and Ms. Wu are currently working on a project with CCTV America (China Central Television) in filming a feature on their cross-cultural sisterhood and the way they connect the US and China through music. One of the projects closest to their heart is sharing stories, music and messages with kids. They are hoping to include footage from their school visit here at Waverly Belmont Elementary and request each student to submit the “Media Release for Minor Children” permission form to ensure they have your permission to film your child (please see form for more details). Please sign and turn in the attached form by Friday February 24th to your child’s homeroom teacher. We will make appropriate accommodations for those who choose not to participate or those without forms.
If there are any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Walle at firstname.lastname@example.org . Thank you for your help and support in your child’s music education here at WBE!
